Friends of Grand Rapids Parks, the Grand Rapids Police Department, and the Grand Rapids Parks and Recreation Department are bringing a new event to three local parks this summer.

Enjoy free family-friendly movies in our neighborhood parks.  We’ll provide free popcorn and water.  Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, snacks, but no alcoholic beverages allowed.

Movie Schedule

Entertainment will begin at 7:00 pm and the movie starts at dusk.

Clemente park, June 22

Martin Luther King Park, July 20

We will be partnering with the Urban League of West Michigan for a special Movies in the Neighborhood Park at MLK Park.  Spend the afternoon at the Urban League Park Party and enjoy a movie with Friends that evening.

Eastern Park, August 24

Joe Taylor Park, September 7

We are partnering with the Urban League of West Michigan and the City of Grand Rapids to provide this movie.  The evening activities will begin at 6:30 pm and the movie will begin at dusk.
