Project Curb Appeal – Monument Park

September 12 @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am

In partnership with the City of Grand Rapids, our wonderful volunteers will be helping maintain, beautify, and enhance the curb appeal of our beautiful parks. Our wonderful community partners at the Cathedral of St. Andrews will be beautifying and cleaning up Monument Park with us this Saturday from 9:30am to 11:30am. At this point in time, we are all set on volunteers. However, if you’re interested in organizing a volunteer project OR adopting a specific park, contact claire@friendsofgrparks.org!

The City of Grand Rapids, Friends of Grand Rapids Parks, and the Grand Rapids Community Foundation launched the Urban Forest Project in 2011 to work toward a 40% tree canopy, a goal established by the Green Grand Rapids amendment to the city master plan. Every tree planted and cared for helps to create greener neighborhoods, intercept stormwater, conserve energy, remove air pollutants, and reduce and store CO2.
