BBQ & Beautify

Sponsored by:

BBQ & Beautify is a summer event series that is hosted in the evening encouraging neighbors to come together and help spruce up their community park.  One of the projects that will be available is tree pruning.  The beautification project is followed by a free community BBQ and yard games hosted by Friends of Grand Rapids Parks.  BBQ provided by Jonny B’z.

The BBQ & Beautify series promote parks usage, increase neighborhood engagement in park and tree upkeep, and engage residents in providing input on desired park enhancements.   These are free events that occur in different parks throughout Grand Rapids from June to August.

This series is presented in partnership with the Kent County Health Department as part of the REACH project.
