Upcoming Park Improvements

This week Huff Park has its official reopening after it acquired a grant and park millage dollars to bring many major improvements to the park, the most notable is that of the boardwalk to its signature marshy area. Learn more about the specific improvements and grand opening details here. These improvements to Huff Park are just one example of the amazing things that the Parks Millage has brought to our city.

Through the Parks Millage hundreds of improvements have been able to come to parks all over the city.  You can keep up to date on all of the past, current, and future projects on the parks projects page.

If you want to see what is coming to a park near you or how your park has already been improved through the millage check out the map below. If you don’t see your park that means that it is probably in the works for future projects, click   to expand the legend and check future projects to see what is planned for the future!

Starting this August and September, the City of Grand Rapids Parks Department will begin community engagement on millage improvements at the following parks:

·         Belknap Park

·         Joe Taylor Park

·         Look Out Park

·         Reservoir Park

·         Ah-Nab-Awen Park

·         Alger Park

·         Briggs Park

·         Foster Park

·         Lexington Park

·         Lincoln Place Park

·         Mackay-Jaycee Park
