Now Hiring: Community Engagement Coordinator

Friends of GRAND RAPIDS Parks is hiring! We’re on the search for a full-time Community Engagement Coordinator that will grow and manage Friends of Grand Rapids Parks’ stewardship program and community outreach initiatives, including oversight of the Parks Alive program. This individual will build and maintain a robust community engagement program, including neighborhood park clean-up coordination, community engagement programs and events, and coordination of the park stewardship committee.

Throughout the year, FGRP hosts numerous workshops, volunteer opportunities, and community events across the city. You’ll help support our efforts by engaging and expanding outreach to diverse communities, developing new partnerships and programs, recruiting and coordinating volunteers, and helping Grand Rapids communities to envision possibilities and develop plans to protect, enhance, and expand their parks, public spaces, and urban forest.The perfect candidate is an energetic and positive community builder who loves to connect people and enjoys the outdoors.
