Friday night will be the fourth of a six-night summer film series that highlights a film from each decade from the 1930’s through the 1990’s.   Rocky Horror Picture Show is a cult hit that carried over for more than a decade at midnight movie screenings all over the country, where audience members talk back to the screen and dress as the characters, Still in limited release nearly four decades after its premiere, it has the longest-running theatrical release in film history.

“Last year, the public voted to see this film at Movies in the Park, but due to poor weather conditions we were unable to continue with the show,” explained Kristopher Larson, President and CEO of Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. “This year provided an opportunity to still show the film from the 1970’s and allow fans an opportunity to see it on the big screen. There was so much enthusiasm for this film last year, and we wanted to continue that excitement.”
