.I believe echoing the park with the theme of old that surrounds it, could be very effective in making this park a destination that is desirable. Not to say I wouldn't want play equipment, but something not chunky of a design that would take away from the garden like atmosphere. In doing so, it would make the park for all ages while keeping it simple. One wouldn't want to go to a park to be distracted or distrubed by the sight, but to be refreshed and re-energiesd by a park that focus is claiming by nature. To create a space is to create another world.

Thank you for reading my little note. My neighborhood is very excited to share this wonderful space. Thank you for your time and energy in making this space a one that everyone will enjoy.

( Trees Please!!!)

Best regards.

.No parking spaces. No games. No equipment. If there are to be benches and tables have them near the streets leaving the park a green space with some paths. Not manicured at all. Quiet. Let people make of it hat they will.
.I would like to see a park that would have something to offer for all ages .....
.bike friendly, and pet friendly would be nice
.Bright street lights in/around to keep from hiding any suspicious activity at night
.I live in the line of homes who's backyards face the lot on Thomas. I feel it's important that the park present itself well visually. Anything is better then the empty lot we stare at now. It would be nice if the city would fix up the fence that runs along each house's backyard as well. It's very overgrown and rusted.
.Is there any substitute for wood chips as ground cover? Grass would be nice for open spaces
.Please include large trees for natural and low-maintenance shade. Also, please provide only on-street parking.
.I would like to see this area as a green space with limited ‘improvements’ other than a green area for recreation and a sledding area in the back. It would also be nice to have a few benches or picnic tables to use and have this area heavily policed to prevent homeless people from congregating within the area.
.Look for a private donor(s) to cover the costs
.I believe a chipping green in the park would make it incredibly unique and very desireable to many people. There are many ways to overcome daily maintenence and yet have it retain the feel of a real green. This, combined with other features, (fountain and gardens) will help make the park a place of peace, rest, and relaxation rather than another green gathering space. I am unable to attend the design charrette so please, consider this as my vote for a chipping green. Signed, J Brooks Twist 611 Madison SE
.Playground equipment is a must!!! Something for children of varying ages, i.e. toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary-aged children would be ideal! Slides, slides, slides please!
.I can see this area from the majority of windows in my apartment so I'm looking forward to quiet, visually pleasing, green space. There has been some talk of making this a dog park which would be a horrible use of the space. This is a very quiet block and it would be lovely with a park that respects the peacefulness. Thank you.
.Please design the park to ensure that it requires minimal maintenance and uses sustainable practices. For example, no mow, native grasses, native plantings, etc.
.Love idea of incorporating architectural elements inspired by Meyer May house/prairie school architecture.
