Friends of Grand Rapids Parks (FGRP) and the Grand Rapids Community Foundation (GRCF) will be planting trees in Riverside Park on Saturday, October 13th. GRCF has collected donations to plant trees in memory of donors and loved ones. These trees will be planted in a "memorial grove" setting adjacent to the Grand River.

FGRP welcomes volunteers to come participate, and help restore some of Riverside's tree canopy lost to Emerald Ash Borer. We'll be meeting on the north side of the park, in the parking lot just north of the north park bridge. You'll want to come in at the furthest north entrance, and take the drive all the way in. FGRP will provide the tools, training, and trees for this event. All you need to worry about is bringing yourself, some gloves, and water for drinking. We've got the rest handled.
