Tree Planting: Most Sustainable Mid-Size Community in the U.S Award

The City of Grand Rapids was presented the Siemens Sustainable Community Award for mid-size communities by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Business Civic Leadership Center (BCLC) and Siemens Corporation. Winning communities will each receive a number of trees for planting throughout their community.
We will need many volunteers to help get over 50 trees in the ground at various locations. The planting is a partnership of Global ReLeaf of Michigan, the City of Grand Rapids, and Friends of GR Parks.
We will be planting over the course of 2 days.
Friday
October 29th 11:00am-1:00pm (Fuller/Hillcrest Park) - presentation and tree planting ceremony at 11am

Saturday October 30th 9:00am-12:00pm (GR Bike Park, Coit Bridge)
